THE EMANATION OF SOUL MEMORY: The Emi/Ka as Electromagnetic Soul-Field and the Physics of Spiritual Perception

BY: OMOLAJA MAKINEE
Across African cosmologies—from Yoruba epistemologies to the metaphysics of Kemet—there is a profound and persistent truth: human beings are not solely flesh, bone, or brain, but networks of soul memory woven into the cosmos itself. Life is not merely lived—it is remembered. Consciousness is not generated—it is received. And intelligence is not invented—it is recalled from a higher field of knowing that predates the body and survives beyond it.
At the center of this ancient understanding stands a force the Yoruba call Ẹmi and the Kemites call Ka—the subtle, luminous layer of vitality that mediates between the soul world and the physical world. The ẹmi or ka is not mystical vapour; it is part of the physics of being, an electromagnetic field of consciousness with compact frequencies and long wavelengths in the spectrum of cosmic radiation. It is, in essence, the soul’s antenna—its ability to sense, transmit, and receive information from the universe.
This ancient African insight anticipates what modern science now calls subtle energy fields, nonlocal consciousness, and quantum entanglement. Long before physics formalised the study of fields, ancient Kemet described the ka as the energetic body that connects all life; the Yoruba taught that the ẹmi is the breath-force that transmits cosmic memory into the ori (soul consciousness). Civilisations along the Nile declared boldly:
“The civilisation of Kemet remembered itself.” “Nothing is new. Nothing is learned. Everything is remembered.”
Today, we stand at the threshold where science finally begins to confirm what African metaphysics has always known.
1. THE ẸMI / KA, AS AN ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD OF SPIRITUAL INFORMATION
To understand spiritual perception, we must understand the ẹmi as a spectrum. The ẹmi behaves like a field of electromagnetic radiation, operating at wavelengths that do not register in standard human senses but which shape intuition, dreams, knowing, and spiritual experience.
In this model:
- Ẹmi/Ka = the soul’s electromagnetic field.
- Ori/Ba = the soul’s consciousness center (receiver).
- Okan/Ib = the moral interpreter (processor).
- Brain = the physical interface (instrument).
When cosmic vibrations shift—governmentally, spiritually, emotionally, or karmically—the ẹmi/ka senses it first. Like a radio receiver, it picks up subtle frequency changes in the universal field.
The ẹmi then transmits these signals inward to the ori, which recognises them because the soul has encountered these patterns across lifetimes.
The message is then weighed in the okan, the heart-mind, which filters perception through Ma’at: truth, order, justice, and alignment.
Only after this layered transmission does the brain “know.” This reveals a profound truth: the brain is not the origin of soul memory, consciousness, or intuition—but the final interpreter.
Just as a mobile phone does not create the call but receives it, the brain does not generate inner knowing—it tunes into the ẹmi, which is in constant dialogue with the cosmos.
2. THE FOUR SPECTRUMS OF SPIRITUAL PERCEPTION
(And How They Correspond to Physical Technologies)
African spiritual science categorises the ẹmi/ka into four primary perceptual spectrums. Modern physics unintentionally affirms this model, because each spectrum mirrors an invention that human beings “discovered” only by remembering what the soul already knew.
These inventions are not random—they are material analogues of spiritual abilities.
A. Foresight — The Eyes of the Soul
Physical analogue: Eyes / vision
This is the baseline of ẹmi-spectrum. All souls possess foresight because it is essential for survival across incarnations.
It allows individuals to sense:
- danger before it arrives;
- shifts in relationships;
- opportunities approaching;
- energetic storms emerging.
This mirrors the biological function of eyesight: the ability to detect what is approaching before it touches the body.
Most souls remain in this spectrum because the ẹmi becomes heavy with unresolved burden bags across lifetimes. Heaviness reduces perceptual range, just as fog reduces visibility.
B. Telepathy — The Earpiece of the soul
Physical analogue: Telephone / mobile device
In this spectrum, kas interlink through resonance. Two ẹmi-fields vibrate at similar frequencies, enabling direct emotional or mental exchange.
This is why:
- twins sense each other’s distress;
- mothers know their child is in danger;
- lovers “just feel” the other’s mood;
- lineage members share unspoken understanding.
Humans created telephones not to discover communication, but to replicate what the soul has always done.
C. Vision — The Mind of the soul
Physical analogue: Television / video transmission
Vision allows perception beyond ordinary senses—images, symbols, spirits, timelines. The ẹmi/ka attunes to nonlocal fields of energy, capturing visual information the way a TV receives distant broadcast signals.
Ancient priests, prophets, diviners, and seers did not build their abilities through imagination—they accessed a natural spectrum of the soul-field.
Humanity built television only after remembering this inner technology.
D. Retrocognition — The Memory of the Soul
Physical analogue: Satellite systems and CCTV networks
Retrocognition is the cosmic CCTV / Satellite network of the soul.
Retrocognition is the ability to perceive:
- past lives;
- ancestral events;
- forgotten history;
- karmic patterns;
- spiritual imprints lodged in the land.
This is the rarest spectrum and marks a spiritually ancient soul whose ẹmi has become refined through many lifetimes to access it directly.
Just as satellites can scan the earth and store massive archives of images, the advanced ẹmi can access the cosmic archive—what many traditions call Akasha, what Kemet called the Field of Memory, and what Yoruba cosmology recognises as the timeless imprint carried by the ori.
Again, humans built satellites only after remembering the soul’s natural capacity.
3. ANCIENT AFRICA ALREADY KNEW THIS
This is why the Kemetian Mysteries taught:
“Everything that exists in the material realm has already existed in the unseen.”
And why Yoruba teachings insist that:
“The mind remembers what the soul has already lived.”
Ancient African civilisation did not erupt from nothing; it emerged because the ancestors remembered what the cosmos had already established. Writing, architecture, medicine, navigation, astronomy, governance—all were recollections of cosmic principles.
Nothing was invented. Everything was retrieved.
The Nile Valley did not innovate; it remembered. The forest kingdoms did not experiment; they re-translated celestial knowledge into earthly form.
4. WHY MOST SOULS ARE LIMITED TO FORESIGHT
The ẹmi/ka accumulates density across lifetimes. This density is created by:
- unresolved burden bags;
- broken vows;
- moral misalignment;
- evil deeds and intentionally creating victims;
- karmic debts;
- spiritual exile;
- unfulfilled ancestral responsibilities;
- Wrong prayer points that empower the biological body at the expense of the soul.
Density restricts wavelength. Restricted wavelength reduces perceptual capacity. Thus, foresight becomes the base spiritual skill—the spiritual “bare minimum” granted to all living beings for survival.
Only souls who achieve balance, alignment, and refinement can rise into telepathy and with the readiness to be bestowed vision.
This is why truly visionary souls are rare. Not because the gift is rare—but because clarity is rare.
5. THE HIGHEST SPECTRUM: SOUL-GUIDES OF THE LINEAGE
When a soul succeeds across many lifetimes in maintaining clarity, balance, and remembrance, it becomes a lineage guide. These are the ones who:
- appear in dreams;
- protect families;
- whisper warnings;
- strengthen destinies;
- open pathways;
- guide younger souls toward alignment.
Such souls do not reincarnate frequently. They dwell in the spiritual realm as teachers, custodians, and protectors. Their ẹmi is so refined that its wavelength spans lifetimes effortlessly.
These are the ancestors who remain active. Their remembrance becomes the backbone of the living.
CONCLUSION: NOTHING IS NEW. EVERYTHING IS REMEMBERED.
Every invention—from phones to satellites, cameras to radios, televisions to memory drives—is a physical imitation of the ẹmi/ka-soul spectrum.
Humanity did not invent communication; the ka always communicated. Humans did not invent television; psychic vision existed long before cameras. Humans did not invent memory storage; the cosmos has always been a library.
The African wisdom is therefore not poetic—it is scientific:
“Nothing is learned. Everything is remembered.”
| Phenomenon | How It Relates to the Ka | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Foresight | Ka senses potential movements. | Ka detects future energy shifts before they materialise. |
| Telepathy | Kas interlink through shared resonance. | Shared energetic vibration allows direct knowing. |
| Vision | Ka perceives beyond physical sense. | Ka attunes to non-local fields of energy to foresee futuristic event. |
| Retrocognition | Ka reads energetic memory. | The ka exists beyond time; perceives imprints of past life events. |
We build outwardly only what we first recall inwardly. Civilisation progresses only by remembering what the soul already knows. And humanity evolves only by clearing the ẹmi so it can tune into the higher frequencies of existence.
The future is not discovered. It is remembered. And the soul is the bridge.
